Our Beginnings
MAKSU was founded in 2019 by Mehmet Aksu, following years of experience in the fashion industry through his successful manufacturing business, Mass Design.
With a deep understanding of garment construction and quality, Mehmet saw an opportunity to bridge the gap between exceptional craftsmanship and accessible pricing, without compromising on quality or creativity.
Our in-house expert atelier designs all our collections with most pieces created at Mass Design and partnering with expert ateliers across other countries to source the finest fabrics and diversify our techniques.
In 2020, our first home opened in Madrid on Calle Lagasca, bringing our vision to life in a physical space. After gaining a loyal following in Spain, we are expanding to the UK market, opening our flagship store in London’s Mayfair in
2024.
This space reflects our full lifestyle proposition, including a Turkish café where guests can enjoy the finest traditional coffee alongside our collections.
